Copy the script, set your own intervals, then train everyone at the till on it.
The rule
Every client is offered their next visit before they pay.
Every service has a return interval: [service] every [x] weeks, [service] every [x] weeks.
Owned by [manager]. Rebooking rate checked every [week] by staff member.
At checkout
"To keep [result] looking right, most people come back in about [x] weeks. That's around [date]. Shall I book you in with [staff name]?"
If yes: "Great, you're in for [day, time]. You'll get a reminder [2] days before."
If unsure: "I can pencil in [day, time] and you can move it with one tap from the reminder."
If no: "No problem. I'll send you a note around [date] so you don't have to remember."
Follow-up for clients who did not rebook
[3] days after the visit: "Hi [name], thanks for coming in. How is [result] settling in? When you're ready, book your next one here: [link]."
A week before they are due: "Hi [name], you're due for [service] around [date]. [Staff name] has [day, time] and [day, time] free. Want one?"
Lapsed clients
At [x] weeks past due: "Hi [name], it's been a while. [Staff name] has space this week if you'd like to come back in: [link]."
At [x] weeks past due: "Hi [name], we'd love to see you again. [Offer, if you use one] on your next [service]. Book here: [link]."
At [x] weeks past due: one last note, then stop. "Hi [name], we'll stop sending reminders. If you ever want to come back, we're here: [link]."
What staff do not say
Not "see you next time". Name a date.
Not "just give us a call". Book it now, or say when the reminder will come.
No discount at checkout unless it is in the rules: [when a discount is allowed].
